My name is Ms. Hardman, and I am delighted to be your child's Language Arts teacher for the 7th and 8th grades at Yazoo County Middle School. As we embark on this exciting journey of exploration and learning, I wanted to extend a warm welcome to each and every one of you.

I believe that education is not just about the subjects we teach, but also about fostering a love for learning, nurturing creativity, and developing critical thinking skills. In our Language Arts class, we will delve into the power of language, literature, and communication, encouraging our students to express themselves confidently and effectively.

My main goal is to create a classroom environment that is both engaging and supportive, where students feel comfortable to share their thoughts, ask questions, and express their unique perspectives. I strongly believe that a successful learning experience stems from open communication and collaboration between students, parents, and teachers.

Throughout the school year, we will explore a wide range of literary genres, including novels, poetry, short stories, and plays. We will also focus on honing writing skills, from creative writing to persuasive essays, with an emphasis on grammar, spelling, and punctuation. Reading will be an essential component of our curriculum, and I encourage you all to participate in fostering a love for reading at home as well.

In addition to classroom learning, I will keep you informed about your child's progress through regular updates and reports. Should you ever have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out to me via email at amanda.hardman@yazook12.org or schedule a meeting with me.

To ensure a successful and enjoyable learning experience, I kindly request your support in encouraging regular attendance, completing homework assignments, and engaging in discussions with your child about what they are learning in class. Together, we can make a significant difference in their academic journey.

I am excited about the opportunity to work with your children and help them grow as both scholars and individuals. Let us embark on this wonderful adventure together, as we guide them towards becoming confident, empathetic, and lifelong learners.

Once again, welcome to the Language Arts class! I am looking forward to getting to know each one of you and witnessing the growth and progress of our students throughout the year.

    Warmest regards,

    Amanda Hardman
