A Message from Principal Edgecombe
Hello Bentonia Gibbs Family,
I am honored to have the wonderful opportunity to serve and support you in my role as your principal. I have been at BGES since 2018. Before coming to Yazoo County in 2018, I worked in Yazoo City Municipal School for three years. During my time in education, I have taught first through fifth grades, done some book studies as an ELA teacher, supported teachers as an interventionist, and supported school initiatives as a mentor as many as six National Board Candidates . All of these experiences have prepared me for this awesome journey that is taking place at BGES.
When I am not working, you will most likely find me with my husband. Also, you can find me running behind our twin boys or on a walk with my two rescue pups.
I am looking forward to another spectacular year at BGES! You have my commitment that I will work with all stakeholders to ensure that our students are the best they can be academically and as human beings. We are one team with one goal!
