Welcome Letter to Parents and Students
Dear Parents and Students,
I hope this letter finds you well and full of excitement as we embark on a new school year at Yazoo County High School! My name is Santoya Edwards, and I am honored to introduce myself as your Special Education Teacher.
As a proud alumni of Yazoo County High School and a native of a small town in the Yazoo County area, I am deeply committed to our community and its students. This year marks my first year serving as a Special Education teacher; however, I bring with me 11 years of experience in the field of education. I recently graduated from THEE Jackson State University with a second master’s in Special Education and Elementary Education, which has equipped me with the knowledge and skills to support our diverse learners effectively.
I am genuinely excited about the opportunities this school year holds for each of us. My goal is to create an inclusive and nurturing environment where all students can thrive and reach their fullest potential. I believe that with collaboration between teachers, parents, and students, we can create an atmosphere of growth and success.
I look forward to working closely with you and your children. Together, we will make this school year a memorable and rewarding experience!
Warm regards,
Santoya Edwards,Ed.S
