• Dear Parents and Students,

    I hope this letter finds you all in good health and high spirits. As we gear up for another exciting year of football here at Yazoo County High School, I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself and share some exciting news about our Career and College Readiness program.

    I am Coach Tierral Rials, Sr. a proud graduate of Alcorn State University, and I am honored to be teaching your child College and Career Readiness. With over 23 years of experience in teaching, coaching, and mentoring young minds, I am genuinely passionate about guiding our students towards successful futures both on and off the field.

    At Yazoo County High School, we believe that preparing our students for life beyond high school is just as crucial as developing their athletic skills. Our Career and College Readiness program is designed to provide comprehensive support to our students as they navigate the path to higher education and promising careers.

    Through workshops, seminars, one-on-one counseling, and interactive activities, our program will help students:

    • Explore Their Passions:  Just like finding your position on the football field, we'll help students identify their strengths, interests, and talents. Together, we'll uncover the paths that align with their aspirations.
    • Build Strong Foundations: Much like building a solid defense, our students will learn essential skills such as time management, effective communication, and critical thinking. These skills are vital for success in any field.
    • Navigate College Applications: Just as we strategize plays, our program will guide students through the college application process. From choosing the right schools to crafting standout applications, we're here every step of the way.
    • Pursue Scholarships and Financial Aid: Just as hard work on the field pays off, our students will learn to seek out scholarship opportunities and financial aid options. We're committed to making higher education accessible to all.
    • Master Interview Techniques: Just as we fine-tune plays, our program will help students polish their interview skills, equipping them to impress in college interviews, job interviews, and beyond.

    Our mission is to empower your children to excel in all areas of life, preparing them to tackle challenges with confidence and determination. As parents, your support is invaluable. We encourage you to stay engaged with our program, attend our workshops, and join us in cheering for our students both on and off the field.
